Mobility in Greece: Rediscovering Our Local and Regional Heritage- octombrie 2018
- short term joint staff training event
- creating a Google map of the area
- working on the online multinational dictionary
The mobility in Greec has helped teachers to come together in a team and work on tasks which can be used in classes with different age categories in order to raise awarness about the importance of being in contact with our natural environment, with our culture and our traditons. During the activities, the teachers identified ways in which these aspects can be used in order to teach a certain subject in an interdisciplinary manner and thus make the students learn on the long term.
Also, the teachers focused their discussions on the similarities and differences among the educational systems of the participant schools, the curriculum teachers use in dealing with their subject matter and the relationship between school and families. The teachers made presentations of their countries and schoools in front of the Greek students and teachers and the participant countries representatives, they participated in discussions about the way in which the project was given the points for admission, they set deadlines for the next activities and they decided upon the working process to be done in eTwinning.
Also, the team of teachers decided upon the logo to be used for the project.
Mobility in Spain: Facing nature deficit disorder- feb. 2019
The project mobility started from the fact that more and more students spend less time in nature and more time connected to their electronical devices. They miss on the beauty that is around them and they miss making important connections both for their souls and bodies. They also miss on bonding with their families members and lack a real connection and knowledge of their lives.
The students had to use a questionnaire to ask their parents and grandparents about the time they used to spend outdoors, about their relationships with family and friends, about what they appreciate more and why. They filmed the videos and used them to create a five minutes long video to be presented in the mobility in Spain. All the participants watched the videos and used the information from all in order to create a Draw My Life video in multinational teams. It was not easy but the children managed to work together, to set the steps of the video, to negotiate upon then information to be used and decide the roles each member had.
Because the connection with nature was the main topic of the mobility, the students had a trip by the river, being guided by teachers and students who had important information to give them about the plants, the stones and the animals in the area. Each group had to pay attention to all given information as they had to use everything back in the ICT labs to create a trail.
The students also attended classes they chose from the list given to each participant country. In this way, they could have examples of how different subjects are taught, what the similarities and differences are between the Spanish school and the Romanian school. They talked about the way they are taught and they learnt, about the evaluation process and the activities they are involved in.
They alos took part in a Geocaching contest in multinational teams where they had to answer different challenges in order to move from one check point to another: answer general knowledge questions, sing a song known by the participants, write a poem, draw one of the members of the team, speak Galician and identify leaves and rocks from the area. It was both fun and challenging as they had to work in teams and finish the challenges in a given period of time.
Each country was given the possibility to present a business plan to improve an area. The Spanish team presented the basic rules to be followed when you want to start your company and the guidance rules for a business. Italy and Romania were the countries which came with two examples. The students identified areas in their county which need improvement. They made a presentation of the area, they listed the problems they identified and they made suggestions for the problems to be fixed. The participants decided to continue on this task in eTwinning, working in international teams and making suggestions for improving areas.
Amara- a business plan to revitalise the area
During the mobility in Spain, we had a workshop about eTwinning in which I helped the new eTwinners to see how the twinspace works, how they can create accounts, how they can upload materials and how they can create pages and forum threads. It was a very productive meeting as there were a lot of new things to be learnt and different situations to be addressed. We set the new tasks for the Erasmus+ project, SOS-Sustain Our Souls and we also set the deadlines for the students to do their research and post their findings in the eTwinning project.
Returning home, the students talked about their experiences in Spain , they answered questions and they showed photos to their classmates and teachers while the teachers who joined the students, talked about their experience with the other teachers in their school and from other schools as well.
Students:
Bianca Lupu: My experience with Erasmus + was wonderful. I met new people and got to know new ways of doing things. I think Draw my Life and Treasure Hunt have been very good for us and they helped us know each other better.
Marga Barbucianu: This is a very special project and we have a lot of things to learn from it. In Spain, I learnt to put down my phone and to appreciate other things in my life: walking in nature and learning about the Spanish culture went very well together.
Laurentiu Neghina: The activities carried out in this mobility have been very interesting. Personally, I liked the Geocaching activity more because we learnt space orientation, to be more aware of what is happeniing around us, to observe details and to listen to one another.
Sebastian Ologu Sutei: This experience has been wonderful to me as I participated in a lot of interesting activities and I learnt new things.
Ivona Coman: The activities helped us connect with nature more and we also learnt a lot of new things about the Spanish culture and not only. We worked in teams and we found out how important it is to know how a team functions, we became better team players for future projects and activities. I am very proud of the fact that I participated in this mobility and I am looking forward to the mobility which will take place in Romania.
Dna Mariana Stancu: The experiences they students had in this mobility will contribute greatly to the improvement of their skills. I found out how valuable our students are and how great they can work together. They respresented their school and their country at a very high level and they were appreciated by all the participants.
Mobility in Italy: Healthy Eating- The Art of Eating, April 2019
More and more people nowadays focus on the importance of having a healthy lifestyle abd being more responsbile with this and with the environment. The mobility in Italy focused on the way people can work together in order to establish some common rules for a more responsible and healthy life, on the way in which we can encourage local products consumption and how this benefits the community at regional and national level and on the way in which our souls can benefit from this awareness.
The participants had to prepare different materials before the mobility in order to give interesting presentations, which will help the others understand better different aspects of the partners’ culture. They also had to answer a questionnaire about eating habits, which was later analysed during the mobility.
Questionnaire briefing and summing-up workshop 1 7 april 2019
Two workshops were carried on in multinaitonal teams: the chemistry laboratory in which students made analysis and experienced different ways of working during chemistry lessons and the langugae multimedia laboratory in which students worked together in order to create a leaflet and a poster promoting healthy and responsible lifestyle. The negotiated, they discussed and the made their proposals, they voted and the chose the best versions for the documents. All the materials will be shown in the common e-book, which is also the final product of the mobility.
What was next? An amazing visit to manufacturing Eco Farm Houses in which students learnt more about mozarella and cheese making, the egg and milk productions at local level and how their consumption has improved the economy of the area. Hands at work- they had the opportunity of making mozarella under the supervision of an Italian producer. Next, they could make their own piece of cheese following the instructions given by the owner of the Eco farm.
The study visit to the Hotel and Catering school also made them be more aware about how the local products can benefit the local business and how they can encourage each other in delivering fresh and good products to their clients. The students could enter the kitchen and help the cooks with the national recipes of the partners which were later tasted. They were also given a short presentation of important elements from the mediteranean diet and how these can be included in everyday’s people diets.
In our opinion, the most successful activity was “The Young Mothers’ Club” workshop in which a group of very nice and patient grandmothers were invited to teach the students about the way pasta is made and how it is used in order to make other national and local products. They students rolled the dough and had inteersting conversations with the guests. It made us somehow remember one of the ideas discussed in the mobility in Santa Comba, Spain- connect more to the elders in your family, learn from them, have different experiences with them, make your souls connect.
We continued talking about what eTwinning can do for our schools, in the Erasmus + mobility in Italy, The Arte of Eating Healthy. Etwinning is an important part of our work together and it gives us the opportunity to evolve. The workshop was about the steps which have already been carried out in the eTwinning project. The project coordinators planned the next activities and discussed about the collaborative work that the students will do in eTwinning. We focused on the way beginners should use the twinspace, the way they can upload materials and add content to existing pages. We also checked what the students have been working on so far and made general recommendations about future activities.
When returning home, the students made presenatitons for their colleagues in which they talked about their experience in Italy.
Ștefan Patru: Erasmus+, the mobility Taranto was a true learning experience for me as I got out of my cmfort zone and broke linguistic barriers. I did not feel limitated or ashamed. I learnt and I also helped other learn.
Cristiana David: Unforgetable is the best word to use when talking about the Erasmus+ experience. We had the unique opportunity to meet people we would have never met while travelling. We worked together and learnt from one another.
Mara Avramita : We learnt how to deal with different situations, how to work in teams and how to solve tasks together. The first steps were shy but then we became better and had great results in our workshops.
Liana Ivan: The cativity with the grannies was favoured by a lor of the participants. We connected to one another and learnt something new. It was a period in which we learnt more about the other partners and could discuss about different aspects.
Denisa Tocileanu: I was impressed by the chemistry lab and the way we can make experiments to determin proteins which appear in our food thus making us understand more about the food we eat day by day.
Bogdan Banica : My favourite activity was the grandmothers showing us how to make pasta. It was a moment in whiche the generation bridge was crossed and the young ones stopped from buttoning their mobile phones and started making pasta.
Dna. Magdalena Grecu : The most amazing thing was how the participants joint together and made a small family, working together in multinaitonal teams and spending time together. What united the youngsters from the participant countries? The enthusiasm that comes with the age, the joy of sharing knowledge, the feeling of being more responsible.
GOING BACK TO OUR ROOTS- POLAND- October 2019
History and culture are two elements that help nations keep their identities and connection with the past and future generations. The Erasmus+ project, SOS- Sustain Our Souls is also about connecting people over time and helping young generation understand the importance of all these aspects. Before the mobility, every delegation had to prepare materials about important historical places, natural places and inventions from their countries. Once in Poland, the delegations presented their materials in front of the others.
The students worked in multinational teams and created a Kahoot games based on all the data they got from their presentations. Once the game was created, the multinational teams also started playing it.
The mobility was also about going to different documentations visits which helped the participants get a better knowledge of the Polish culture, history and traditions which were later transferred into multinational posters.
Wonderful art work. Painting on wood is another way of making connection between people and nature. It is like nature comes alive.
Going back to our roots-the end of the mobility in Poland. We had a great week in which we learnt more about the culture of our partners and came back home wanting to share what we had learnt.
Teodor Varzaru : The Erasmus+ project was the most challenging yet also the most bewitching experience I have ever lived. From the cultural visits to the time we got to know the other students and our hosts, Cracow is definitely the best city to host such a project. Our experience was gathered and expressed in an artistically form, dividing into multi-national teams and recreating the story of Erasmus from our perspective. Coming from an arts high school, it was interesting to see the talent and inspiration between all mobilities. I believe projects such as Erasmus+ are the key to successful students as I put in practice my teamwork skills but also learned more about myself and how to break a language barrier and deliver a compelling product.
Alexandru Constantin: The Erasmus+ experience was, at least for me, one of the best time i have had in my life. The activities themselves where truly great as well. From the Musem of Ethnology tot the Wawel Castle, we were presented with wonderful examples of both traditional buildings, and true wonders of architecture. But not only did we admire the wonders of Polish history, but we dwelved into its dark past as well. Choosing to go into this Erasmus+ project has been one of the best decisions I made. It was a week I wished would never end.
Sanziana Hogas: The Erasmus+ project was an eye opening experience both culturally and emotionally. We visited important history monuments such as the Wawel Castel, the Salt Mine and the most hard ones to witness, Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps. I had an amazing time metting my new family and spending quality time talking with them about their history and cultural customs in Poland. At the end of these 7 days i can surely say that the Erasmus+ ,,Going back to our roots” project gave me new beautiful memories, new friends and new points of view about the importance of life, love, respect and responsability.
Andradda Vlad : The mobility in Poland was a beautiful cultural experience, in fact we learned lot of new things about the people, the history and the traditions by spending time with the Polish students and teachers. The Kahoot game, in my own opinion, was a challenge, beside the presentations of every country, it was a challenge to catch all the information, to remember everything in a short time, to catch the important and tell it!
Many beautiful views, many historical sites full of mystery, emotions and sadness. The impact in this mobility was in Auschwitz I and II, such big emotions seeing the concentration camp..seeing how those people were treated and killed. I walked with my head down all the way to show respect and solidarity to the victims of the Holocaust. It was mistery, it was sadness..it was an emotional impact that made every human being show the respect, comemorate the “memento mori” of those unlucky angels…
Mark Costache: The whole Erasmus+ experience was a complete win in terms of knowledge and teamwork abilities. We honed our communication skills by taking part in different activities. One of them being a Kahoot! Game where we got paired in multi-national teams, there we learned about the culture and traditions of the participating teams and put our minds together to create questions based on the knowledge aquired.
It was one of the best things that happened in my life and the atmosphere was magic.
Raluca Cirlan: The Erasmus+ “Sustain Our Souls” project was one of the most interesting experience I have ever had. Besides the fact that I had the opportunity to learn more about not only the Polish culture, but also about the European one, I also met a lot of great people from many countries. Krakow is one of the richest cities in Europe as for the cultural heritage and one can see that wherever he/she goes. The workshops themselves were also really interesting, since we got to discover a lot of of things about the culture, history and evolution of technology of the other countries that participated in the “Going back to Our roots” mobility by creating and playing a Kahoot! game. To sum up, I believe that the Erasmus+ Project gave me a whole new perspective on the world. It was truly an unique and unforgettable experience.
Andrei Turcea: In the mobility in Poland, by playing the Kahoot game, we learnt new information about the culture, tourist attractions, past and traditions of the participating countries in the Erasmus+ program. The children were asked to compose questions based on the information presented by the other participants, through teamwork and by using their communication skills. Taking part in such an activity represented a great experience for me!
